SEA WAVES
Eating disorder education, care navigation, and advocacy for service members, veterans, and military families.

SEA WAVES is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by retired U.S. Navy Senior Chief Leah Stiles. It focuses on eating disorders in the military community, where weight standards, trauma, transition, and fear of career consequences can make the problem harder to recognize or talk about. Support is offered without judgment.
What they offer
- Support and care navigation: referrals, TRICARE navigation, and real-time help finding specialized care.
- The Lighthouse Project™: free outreach, care navigation, and community programs.
- MEDAL™ training: training for military leaders and providers to spot warning signs and connect people to care.
- Advocacy: work with lawmakers and national coalitions so eating disorder care is treated as part of readiness.
