Congress established the Center for Women Veterans in November 1994 (Public Law 103-446). Its mission is to advocate for improved outcomes and access to VA benefits, services, and opportunities for women Veterans through education, outreach, and collaboration. The Center also serves as a resource and referral center for women Veterans, their families, and their advocates.

How they can help

  • Women Veterans Call Center: call or text 1-855-829-6636 for help finding VA benefits, health care, and resources.
  • Women Veteran Program Managers: every VA has a Women Veteran Program Manager who can connect you with resources and services.
  • Resources and opportunities: information on health care, benefits, employment, and community programs for women Veterans.
